6th Balkan Museum Network Annual Conference “Meet, See, Do” in Thessaloniki with the SNF’s support

The 6th edition of the International Conference “Meet, See, Do” took place from April 18th to April 20th, 2018, in Thessaloniki. The conference was organized by the Balkan Museum Network (BMN) and the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) Bosnia and Herzegovina and was made possible through the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

This year’s gathering was attended by over 100 museum and heritage professionals from 10 countries of the Southeast Europe. The conference was structured in lectures, workshops, panel discussions and networking sessions and the main themes discussed were diversity, participation and models of co-production, museum brand management and community involvement, stories behind shared and divided Southeast Europe heritage.

The SNF supports the implementation of the project “Crafting Access – capacity building for heritage and craft-based inclusion across the western Balkans” which focuses on enabling new skills, knowledge and experiences around inclusion and accessibility of culture to everyone.
