The New York Times Profiles Sunitha Krishnan, 2016 Tällberg Global Leader

The New York Times recently profiled Sunitha Krishnan, a recipient of the 2016 Tällberg Foundation Global Leadership Prize, which is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The Tällberg Foundation, with lead support from the SNF, launched the Tällberg Foundation Global Leadership Prize to seek out, honor, and encourage great leaders, as well as reframe the debate on contemporary notions of leadership. The Tällberg Foundation Global Leadership Prize recognizes “men and women who demonstrate the kind of leadership demanded by the challenges of the 21st century: innovative, imaginative, flexible, systems-based, risk-taking and, above all, ethical”.

Sunitha Krishnan has led Prajwala, an organization that fights sex trafficking of women and children in India, for more than 20 years. To date, Sunitha has rescued more than 20,000 women and children.
