Dance/NYC, SNF Grantee, Launches Immigrant Artists Initiative in New York
07 March 2018

Dance/NYC has launched a new initiative to extend the role of dance artistry in fostering the inclusion, integration and human rights of immigrants in the New York City metropolitan area.

The organization also aims to shape the public discussion regarding changing demographics and immigrant affairs. To that end, as part of the initiative, Dance/NYC unveils research entitled New York City’s Foreign-Born Dance Workforce Demographics.

Dance/NYC has also announced a free convening for immigrant artists on September 21, 2018, presented with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and the Queens Theatre.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation has contributed lead support for the initiative.
