Inaugural Free Thursdays at the Brooklyn Museum with the SNF’s Support

On Thursday, January 11th, 2018, the Brooklyn Museum in New York hosted its inaugural Free Thursday, exclusively supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. On Thursday nights, from 6pm to 10pm, the Museum will be open to all, providing free access to exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and more. In addition to its current exhibitions, the evening features a salsa party and collection tour, both open to all visitors.
Founded in 1895, the Brooklyn Museum, has collections from ancient Egypt to contemporary art, serving the rich diversity of Brooklyn neighborhoods, as well as the city, nation, and globe. The Brooklyn Museum aims to act as a bridge between the rich artistic heritage of world cultures, as embodied in its collections, and the unique experience of each visitor.
