22 December 2017

On Wednesday December 20th and Thursday December 21st, 2017, the association “Monacology” organized a two-day environmental program with the participation of the well-known French photographer, journalist, reporter and environmentalist, Yann Arthus Bertrand, aiming to show the challenges of preserving ecosystems, to raise awareness on the preservation of the environment and to raise awareness about the constraints of sustainable development.

The environmental campaign is made possible through the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, among others.

This year’s program included the conference, entitled “Vu du Coeur” (a view from the heart), which showcased the beauty and richness of nature but also the environmental challenges, the enormous loss of habitat, and the need to preserve biodiversity, as well as the film screenings “Human – La Soif du Monde – Home – Terra” at the Oceanographic Museum. In the framework of the environmental program, a photo exhibition, entitled “Planet Ocean”, will run at the Grimaldi Forum until January 5th , 2018.

Launched in 2004, the association “Monacology” organizes, both in Monaco and internationally, educational campaigns aiming to raise awareness among the general public and especially young people on the various challenges of environmental preservation.
