In 2017, we continued with our global grant making activities, which now span 120 countries. In Greece, the SNF announced, among others, the most recent initiative to enhance the Greek health sector with an initial budget expected to exceed €200 million.
This year our colleagues visited many organizations that the Stavros Niarchos Foundation supports around the world, including a trip to Ghana, which provided the inspiration for this year’s holiday card.
In the coming year, we will continue our global activities with the goal to contribute, to the best of our abilities, to the development of a healthy and just society, with equal opportunities for all.
The SNF is ushering in the holiday spirit and New Year’s Eve, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens, Greece, where the SNF supports activities free and open for all filled with music, dancing and many surprises! The most athletic among us can get a head start on the new year by joining the SNF RUN 2018, in the first minutes of 2018! A celebration of hope, the 4km night-time race will start and finish at the SNFCC. Participation to the race is free for all. Pre-registration is required at snfcc.org/snfrun.
