The Mobile Medical Units have successfully completed their first mission in the island of Samothrace

From November 15th to November 18th, 2017, the Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) visited Samothrace to provide the island’s residents with free comprehensive medical care and support, offered by the highly qualified scientific personnel.

This is first visit of the MMUs to the island as they have already visited the majority of remote islands in Greece, including, among others, Kastelorizo, Amorgos, Kasos , Astypalaia, Psarra, Fournoi-Thimaina, Patmos, Folegandros, Nisyros, Tilos, Serifos, Ano Koufonisi, Agios Efstratios, Kimolos, Agathonisi and Anafi.

The Mobile Medical Units is an initiative undertaken by the SNF in collaboration with the Olympic Village Polyclinic with the aim of offering comprehensive health care services to residents of islands and remote areas throughout Greece.

The program is implemented by the NGO “Regeneration & Progress”.
