At the event, policy makers, innovators and interested parties active in the local entrepreneurship field will explore the identified models and the possibilities for replication in the local context in a series of presentations and discussions.
Supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the ACSI project is a European initiative led by the organization UpSocial that seeks to catalyze the transfer of successful social innovations among five European cities: Athens, Barcelona, Lisbon, Rotterdam and Stockholm. The project aims to address common challenges identified among the cities such as youth unemployment, children at risk of exclusion, health inequalities, migration and integration.
Established in 2012, UpSocial designs multi-stakeholder processes to identify social challenges and to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of innovative proposals around the world. It also actively advocates for the development of a more effective ecosystem to support social entrepreneurship and innovation.
