07 NOVEMBER 2017 / “All about the Marathon” Lecture at the SNFCC, with the SNF’s support

As part of the running-related events held at the SNFCC and on the occasion of the 35th Marathon taking place in Athens, one of the major sports events in Greece, on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017, a lecture is held on the participation in endurance races, the Olympic ideals and pushing the human limits.

The lecture is implemented by the NGO “Regeneration & Progress” and, as all SNFCC events, is free and open to all, thanks to the exclusive grant of the SNF.

The event will feature Mr. Y. Pitsiladis, the professor of sport and exercise science at the University of Brighton and head of the sub2hrs project, as the keynote speaker. Earlier that same day, at 11:30, the inaugural event of the SNF’s new series Dialogues will take place at the Stavros Niarchos Hall, aiming to catalyze conversations around critical issues in today’s society.
