Twenty contemporary artworks have been selected by a committee to be showcased at the exhibition. The paintings have been evaluated on the basis of their aesthetic quality and unique morphology. The selected artworks are on display since July until December, 2017. At the inauguration event, the winner of the “3rd Frissiras Award for European Painting” was announced.
The Frissiras Museum is one of the most important museums for contemporary European painting in Greece. The Museum’s collection features paintings, drawings, sculptures and engravings from European artists, which seek to capture the tendencies, faces and philosophy of the anthropocentric European painting after 1940.
