The event, which will be moderated by John J. Hamre, CEO of CSIS, will present the new book by Bob Schieffer, CBS News legend and CSIS trustee, and H. Andrew Schwartz, Chief Communications Officer at CSIS. The book examines political journalism in today’s polarizing environment, analyzing traits from the explosion of fake news to the challenges of the 24 hour news cycle.
The Schieffer Series, which features thoughtful panel discussions with senior officials, lawmakers, journalists and policy experts to discuss global challenges and critical issues of national security and foreign policy, is produced by CSIS in partnership with the Bob Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University.
The Series is exclusively supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
CSIS was established in Washington, D.C. more than 50 years ago as a bipartisan, nonprofit policy research organization dedicated to providing strategic insights and policy solutions to help decision makers chart a course toward a better world.
