03 August 2017

On Monday, July 31st, the one-month summer workshops for children and young adults, implemented as part of the innovative “PRO-NIA” program of the Centre of Creative Occupation of the Movement “PROTASI”, with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), were successfully completed.

The holistic intervention program “PRO-NIA” is addressed to children and families from vulnerable social groups, with the purpose of providing free primary and secondary prevention services, pertaining to the treatment of substance abuse and maladaptive behavioral patterns, as well as individual and group psychosocial and counselling support services.

Throughout July, children aged 4 to 18 years old, under the pedagogical guidance of a group consisting of professionals and volunteers, have been participating in daily creative workshops and activities which encourage children to express themselves collectively, while enhancing their comprehensive psychosocial development.

The SNF supports the operation of the Centre of Creative Occupation of the Movement “PROTASI” for the period of one year.
