Curtain opens for the 14th Fall for Dance Festival, the New York City Center’s annual dance festival, with the SNF’s support
10 August 2017

October 2017 in New York begins with the New York City Center’s Fall for Dance Festival which, for yet another year, features an unexpected and eclectic blend of different dance styles – spanning from ballet to tap dancing, to hip-hop – and artists from the international dance scene.

For two weeks, from October 2nd until October 14th, twenty dance companies and acclaimed choreographers from all over the world, including  Mark Morris, Michelle Dorrance and Kyle Abraham, among others, present unique performances, commissioned specifically for the festival, and revivals of classical works. The multifaceted festival consists of five programs,  each repeated once, where the contemporary coexists in harmony with the classical.

All performances are offered at an affordable cost, through the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to the NYCC’s Arts Access Fund, thereby confirming the organization’s commitment to present high quality performing arts programs that are affordable and accessible to the widest possible audience.
