The SNFCC suggested a heatwave “survival guide”! A long weekend powered by the SNF.
03 July 2017

During the past few days of very high temperatures in Athens, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), suggested a heatwave "survival guide", inviting children and adults to discover a shelter from the heat at the Waterjets, the Canal and the Great Lawn, through several simple steps!

The heatwave "survival guide" included games with the water, free ice-creams and soft-drinks, film screenings at the Stavros Niarchos Park, hula hoop dance parties and many more activities that were organized on Friday 30/6, Saturday 1/7 and Sunday 2/7.

Every corner of the SNFCC had in store for young and older visitors small breaths of fresh air, carelessness and fun. A total of 15,000 people visited the SNFCC of which 2,000 visited Waterjets and 2,011 watched the film screenings at the Great Law. Additionally, more than 2,700 cold beverages and 3, 500 ice-creams were offered.

Admission to all events was free, through an exclusive grant of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
