Floga - Parents Association of Children with Cancer – Inauguration of a new Hostel for adolescents and young adults, with the SNF support

On Friday, June 30th, the organization Floga - Parents Association of Children with Cancer, with more than 30 years of essential presence and intervention within the field of medical, psychological and social care for children suffering from cancer, inaugurated its new Hostel, in the presence of His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Hieronymus.

The new structure of the organization, named “Nikolaos and Ioanna Kamaratou Center”, consists of two buildings with seven independent studios aiming to provide accommodation to a total of 53 families of children and adolescents from all over Greece undergoing cancer treatment at Athens hospitals.

In the context of its long-term support to Floga’s work, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), through a grant, supports the execution of renovation works and the purchase of equipment for the newly established Hostel.

The organization Floga - Parents Association of Children with Cancer was established in 1982 by parents whose children suffer from cancer.
