Meeting of members and supporters of the Museum and Cultural Organizations Professionals Network at Art Athina 2017
30 May 2017

On Saturday, May 27th , the Museum and Cultural Organizations Professionals Network, an initiative that was kick-started in the context of the educational and professional development program Transforming Future Museums: International Museum Academy (IMA) of the British Council in Greece, held an open discussion, during the 22nd Art Athina annual art fair.

The Museum and Cultural Organizations Professionals Network, members of which are alumni and peers of the first IMA, aspires to create a community of culture professionals, a supportive and collaborative network that facilitates knowledge and expertise sharing at a national level, aiming at empowering museums, as well as their people, in Greece.

The two-year program Transforming Future Museums addresses museum and cultural heritage organizations, as well as professionals, and includes, among others, a series of intense educational and training seminars, exchange of short work placements in Greece and the UK,  as well as participation in international tours and networking events.

The discussion took place in the presence of members and supporters of the program, including the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), which supports, through a grant, the development and implementation of the program in Greece.
