Hellenic Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage awards SNF for its support

On the occasion of the completion of 45 years of active presence and implementation of actions for rescue and preservation of the cultural heritage and the natural environment, the Hellenic Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage organized an event on Tuesday, May 30th to honor its supporters.

Among those who received a recognition, the SNF was awarded for its contribution to the Hellenic Society’s work. On behalf of the SNF, the award was received by Mr. Giorgos Agouridis, member of the Board of Directors of the SNF. 

Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage was founded in 1972, aiming to enhance the interest of Greek citizens in the value of their cultural and natural heritage and to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining an ecological balance. Within this context, the Society is involved in a wide range of actions, namely proposing and promoting environmental policies, working for the conservation of natural habitats and landscapes of natural beauty, protecting monuments, traditional settlements and historical sites, and raising public awareness.
