The program, which is partially supported by the SNF, constitutes a bilateral oral history project which is implemented by Freie Universität Berlin in collaboration with NKUA. The project is an exemplary synergy between a German and a Greek University aiming in the collection and filing of oral interviews from people who suffered during the German occupation in Greece. The material will be digitized and become available on a trilingual portal which will be used not only by historians and Universities but also from schools in Greece, Germany, and beyond. The portal will provide multiple search functionalities, will present the videos with transcripts, keywords, and registers, as well as short biographies, summaries, and contextualizing historical sources. So far, from May until December 2016, 53 out of a total of 70 interviews have been completed. The project is also supported by the German Federal Office, the Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft foundation and Freie Universität Berlin.
