Kenya Libraries Go Digital with the SNF support
28 April 2016

The non-profit organization Worldreader aims to change the lives of thousands of people in Kenya, giving digital access to books with the support of the SNF.

In partnership with Kenya National Library Service, Worldreader will bring digital reading to all 61 public libraries with the ultimate goal of improving access to books for students, librarians, teachers and patrons and positioning these libraries as major contributors to Kenya’s development.

The two-years project will reach 500,000 people with 580,000 English and Kiswahili books. In addition, Worldreader will be providing comprehensive capacity building for librarians to ensure the success of the program.
