11 FEBRUARY 2016 / The Mobile Medical Units travel to Anafi

On February 13th to 14th , the Mobile Medical Units will visit the island of Anafi to provide extensive medical services, free of charge, to its permanent residents. This is the 17th mission of the Units, following visits in Kastelorizo, Amorgos, Kasos , Astypalaia, Psarra, Fournoi-Thimaina, Patmos, Folegandros, Lipsi, Nisyros, Tilos, Serifos, Ano Koufonisi, Agios Efstratios, Kimolos and Agathonisi.

The Mobile Medical Units is an initiative undertaken by the SNF in collaboration with the Olympic Village Polyclinic with the aim of offering comprehensive health care services to residents of islands and remote areas throughout Greece.

The Mobile Medical Units is accompanied by a scientific team of the Olympic Village Polyclinic, which is in charge of implementing the program, and which consists of the following specialties: gynecologist, a dietician, cardiologist, dentist, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, pulmonologist and otolaryngologist.

The program is implemented by “Regeneration & Progress” GNO.
