The Mobile Medical Units travel to Agios Efstratios

On November 14th, the Mobile Medical Units will visit the island of Agios Efstratios to provide extensive medical services, free of charge, to its permanent residents.

This is the 14th mission of the Units, following visits in Kastelorizo, Amorgos, Kasos , Astypalaia, Psarra, Fournoi-Thimaina, Patmos, Folegandros, Lipsi ,Nisyros, Tilos, Serifos and Ano Koufonisi.

The Mobile Medical Units is an initiative undertaken by the SNF in collaboration with the Olympic Village Polyclinic with the aim of offering comprehensive health care services to residents of islands and remote areas throughout Greece.

The Mobile Medical Units is accompanied by a scientific team of the Olympic Village Polyclinic, which is in charge of implementing the program, and which consists of the following specialties: gynecologist, a dietician, cardiologist, dentist, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, pulmonologist and otolaryngologist. The mission which will stay on the island until October 25th.
