12 MAY 2014

Following the first two successful missions to the border islands of Kastelorizo and Amorgos, the two Mobile Medical Units completed effectively their third mission to Kasos, the southernmost island of the Dodecanese.

The visit in Kasos lasted five days (April 9-13), providing an opportunity to the island’s approximately 900 residents to receive personalized counseling and care from the Units’ experienced medical and nursing staff, and undergo free preventative and diagnostic tests in all areas of medical specialty. According to the report by the relevant medical staff, upon completion of the trip to Kasos, the team examined a total of 648 inhabitants out of the approximately 900 individuals (72% of total inhabitants) while it performed 1.637 medical visits and 1.048 medical tests.
