Expedition to Solve Geological Puzzle in Guatemala
01 MAY 2014

As part of its research program, the American Museum of Natural History sponsors scientific expeditions around the world. In November 2010, Dr. George E. Harlow, a curator at the Museum, and his team, embarked on a Constantine S. Niarchos Expedition to Guatemala, to look for clues to the evolution of the Caribbean region.

The Constantine S. Niarchos Expedition, established by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, supports research expeditions across all of the Museum’s scientific disciplines. The expeditions further the Museum´s research and add to the depth and breadth of its collections.
