07 JANUARY 2014 / Le Petit Monde inaugurates a new child friendly MRI mock scanner at the Lenval Hospital in Nice

On January 10, Le Petit Monde will inaugurate a new child friendly MRI mock scanner at the Lenval Hospital in Nice.

This MRI game is an MRI simulator used to prepare children for the real MRI scanner, in order to avoid nearly 90% of general anesthesia often required for children under 5 years old.
The principle is to inspire children to discover this MRI game, to establish a game atmosphere and to familiarize them with three constraints: noise, lying on their back and immobility in a confined space. Through a grant to Le Petit Monde, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation supported four child-friendly MRI mock scanners / MRI games to be used in pediatric health services in France.
