Cerebral Palsy Greece honors the Stavros Niarchos Foundation
07 November 2013
On November 7, 2013 Cerebral Palsy Greece celebrated its 40 years of operation and 10 years of the Open Door center, the organization’s current premises, funded in large part by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
The event was attended by several prominent figures such as former Prime
Minister Mr. Konstantinos Mitsotakis and members of the Diplomatic
Corps. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation was honored as one of Cerebral
Palsy Greece’s largest and most pioneering benefactors. Mr. George
Agouridis, member of the Foundation’s board, received the award on
behalf of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The highlight of the event
was an “Olympic style” parade by all the beneficiaries of Cerebral Palsy
Greece, starting from the youngest children all the way up to the
adults living in the semi-autonomous living unit, the construction of
which was also supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
