University of Delaware students investigate green energy ‘race against time’ at CSIS Bootcamp

“Since you started reading this, ___ tons of carbon have been emitted globally.”

The ticker at the top of the latest long-form reporting project created by students through the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) virtual Journalism Bootcamp dramatically underscores the urgency of the question. How Will Rival Powers Lead on Green Energy Innovation?

The multimedia project was the capstone of an intensive week of seminars and workshops led by CSIS experts that focused on competition between the United States and China as well as journalistic skill-building. The long-form piece was produced in collaboration with CSIS’s Dracopoulos iDeas Lab, created in 2011 with support from Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos.

The SNF supports the CSIS Journalism Bootcamp: Reporting on International Affairs, which has welcomed cohorts from universities around the United States and Greece.
