On Thursday, March 30th, took place the book presentation of Yiorgis Yerolymbos under the title “Orthographs”. The book traces the construction of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and offers a unique account of the project’s development over time through the photographic lens of Yerolymbos.
Yerolymbos’ photos, which are shot from above, vividly illustrate the daily activities during the construction phase of the SNFCC and give us a new perspective to the interpretation of the building.
The event took place at the Lighthouse of the SNFCC. Mr. George Agouridis, Member of the SNF Board of Directors, addressed brief remarks, while speakers at the presentation included Philip Blackwell, Founder, Ultimate Library, U.K.; Takis Theodoropoulos, Writer, Journalist; Katerina Koskina, Director, National Museum of Contemporary Art and Ilias Konstantopoulos, Architect, Professor, University of Patras
The publication of the book was made possible with funding from the SNF.
