Established as the Museum of Broadcasting, the institution has continually evolved to reflect the changing media landscape, and the upgrades are part of a broader plan that includes the addition of state-of-the art podcast and television studios to enable new kinds of public programming.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), which supported the renovations, was recognized with the naming of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Entrance to the 200-seat Bennack Theater.
"As a nexus not only of media, but also of sports, journalism, and entertainment, The Paley Museum offers us all the chance to better understand the cultural forces flowing through our lives,” said SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos. “We at SNF feel a strong resonance with our own work to broaden access to arts, culture, and trusted information, always keeping humanity at the core. Congratulations to the Museum on this half-century milestone and on the new chapter these renovations begin."
