New MRI scanner inaugurated at Orthodox Church of Albania Evangelismos Diagnostic Center
To mark the completion of renovations and the installation of a state-of-the-art new MRI scanner at the Orthodox Church of Albania Evangelismos Diagnostic Center, a special inauguration event was held today with the Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durres, and All Albania, the diagnostic center’s medical and nursing staff, and SNF representatives.
The Orthodox Church of Albania Evangelismos Diagnostic Center offers its services to anyone in need, regardless of religious background. This grant comes on the heels of a previous SNF grant to supply medical equipment to the center.
Promoting health has been one of the main pillars of SNF’s grantmaking since its inception in 1996. The Foundation’s ongoing Global Health Initiative (GHI), its largest-ever grant initiative with a budget of $1 billion, encompasses more than 40 projects in Greece and internationally, anchored by the creation of three new SNF public hospitals in Thessaloniki, Komotini, and Sparta.
