The Trophy Challenge, a major innovation competition for Greek agrifood startups and business ideas, selected 25 teams, out of 70 entrants, to receive guidance from experienced mentors at the Trophy Bootcamp on successfully pitching their businesses. The competition was held for the third consecutive year by New Agriculture New Generation, with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
The final, which took place on Friday, October 22, produced four winners in the “Ideas” and “Startups” categories. The winning teams, AgroCognition, Track4Value, Digital Bites, and GEP Unmanned Technologies, received prizes worth a total of €23,000, and will have the opportunity to participate in a five-month business acceleration program, which includes international networking and funding opportunities and mentoring by renowned industry executives and academics from Rutgers University.
The Trophy Challenge was launched in 2019 and has supported 67 startups to date, including the eight winning teams from previous years which have received cash prizes totaling €47,000. The competition seeks to lift up products, solutions, and services that stand out in terms of innovation and the use of cutting-edge technologies across multiple agrifood sectors.
