On Wednesday, April 19, the leader of another city on the Mediterranean visited the SNFCC to see this model firsthand. Ron Huldai, the longtime Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo and Chairman of the Tel Aviv Foundation, invested several hours touring the SNFCC and learning about its design and operation. He was welcomed by the Senior Advisor to the SNF Board of Directors Ambassador Vassilis Kaskarelis, SNF Global Programs Director Alexandros Kambouroglou, and SNFCC Managing Director Elly Andriopoulou.
The SNFCC has long welcomed leaders from abroad including President Barack Obama (who gave a speech there during his last international trip in office in 2016 and will participate in June 2023’s SNF Nostos) and the heads of state of Mediterranean countries who participated in EuroMED7 Summit in 2021.
