Doctors Without Borders, aka Medecins Sans Frontieres USA (MSF), is receiving support for their ongoing efforts, including six MSF health facilities and a growing number of medical structures, now totaling 150. MSF provides a wide variety of medical care, including maternal and child care, emergency medical care, trauma care, health education, and epidemic surveillance, among many other services. In Syria and through their presence in neighboring countries, MSF is doing critical work providing technical advice and remotely training Syrian doctors, while donating medical equipment and supplies.
Save the Children USA is a child-focused humanitarian organization, providing comprehensive emergency readiness, relief and recovery programs specifically designed to meet the unique needs of children. They have reached over 5 million children and adults inside Syria through their three pillars of work: child survivial, including health and hygiene services, psychosocial support and protection from violence, and restoring access to education through temporary learning spaces. Support will contribute to their Syria Children’s Relief Fund.
Mission Enfance is an international solidarity organization based in Monaco to support children in distress throughout the world, with a focus on education. For the past 3 years, they have supported the functioning of an education center for 350 displaced children from 6 to 15 years old. To answer the growing needs, they are working to increase their capacity with the creation of other centers in the country, offering education and psychological support. SNF grant will contribute to the expansion of this education program in the country.
