Presentation of Short Films by the Participating Filmmakers of ARTWORKS’ 1st SNF Artist Fellowship Program

Oct 16, 2018
On Monday, October 15th, 2018, ARTWORKS, which was created with a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), presented a selection of short films covering a range of genres (fiction, documentary and animation).

The films were created by the filmmakers participating in the first Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Program. By bringing to the fore the work of 15 contemporary filmmakers, the event aimed to be a meeting point between emerging filmmakers and the general public.

ARTWORKS was founded in 2017, as part of the SNF’ s Recharging The Youth grant initiative, with the aim of creating a fertile and nurturing environment for Greek artists. The core of the organization’s activities is the SNF Artist Fellowship Program, which provides financial support to artists working in the fields of fine arts and moving image, while encouraging their professional development and career. 15 filmmakers and 45 visual artists were selected for the Program’s first, pilot round.
