Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Victoria Amelina, a young Ukranian writer who died over the weekend as a result of the injuries she sustained during the shelling of a restaurant in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, on June 27. She was set to join Columbia University's Institute for Ideas and Imagination, for which the SNF has been a major supporter, in September as one of the program’s Displaced Writer Residents.
