Specifically, the platform presents 7,000 books and more than 600 digitized documents from his archive. The digital presentation of a large part of E. Kriaras’ work ensures the durability of the material over time, whilst providing open and free access to all.
To celebrate the launch of the website, which will be made available through the digital space of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), on Saturday, May 13th, the Institute of Modern Greek Studies organized an event which was attended by the Director of the Central Library of AUTH, the President, Director and members of the Institute of Modern Greek Studies, as well as an SNF representative and members of the academic and literary community. The event took place during the 14th International Book Fair in Thessaloniki.
The SNF has proudly supported the project, as the digitization of E. Kriaras’ work and thus the effective use of his legacy for the benefit of the common good, is a project of particular significance for the scientific and academic community.
