Interview with George Koumentakis, Artistic Director of the GNO, in Blue Magazine

In a recent interview in the latest edition of Blue Magazine, George Koumentakis, artistic director of the Greek National Opera (GNO), talks about the new era of the GNO and its vision to grow from a regional opera into the equal of international operas in Europe, America, and Asia.

As he underlines in the interview, the GNO will work to realize this vision thanks to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s (SNF) significant grant of €20 million for the development of targeted artistic collaborations, co-productions, guest productions, and international tours that will enhance its international artistic outreach. He also expresses gratitude to SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos in highlighting the importance of the grant.
