The award recognized their support for helping meet the present needs of students on campus while setting them up for future success, namely through paid internship opportunities and proactive mental health support.
Pace’s Community Impact internship program offers students paid opportunities to make a meaningful contribution in their community by embedding in public-serving organizations, from the New York Public Library to South Bronx United, a soccer-based youth development program, to Lighthouse Guild, which serves people who are visually impaired, and beyond. SNF made a grant for a pilot of these internships during the pandemic which was recently reupped and is hosting two Pace interns at its office in Athens this summer.
As part of its Global Health Initiative (GHI), SNF also supports Pace’s mental health efforts in prevention and early intervention that seek to help eliminate stigma and weave a culture of mutual support into the fabric of campus.
