A new Wave of Interns Heads to Vancouver to Reboot the Greek Language

Dec 11, 2018
Last week, Simon Frasier University (SFU) welcomed to its Burnaby, B.C. campus a new cohort of interns for the Rebooting the Greek Language project.

The goal of the Rebooting the Greek Language project, begun in 2017, is to use state-of-the-art digital tools and pedagogy to creative a platform for Greek language learning. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), which has provided longstanding support for Simon Frasier University’s Hellenic Studies Program and endowed its SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies, supported the creation of the project.

The three interns, who have backgrounds in teaching Modern Greek and graphic design, among much else, will spend this week on SFU’s campus. Next week, they’ll engage with SFU VentureLabs, the University’s business accelerator, to tap into its expertise. The internship, and work on the Rebooting the Greek Language project, will continue even once the interns return to Greece the following week.
