A 40-day Journey Around the World of Architecture, as part of the Renzo Piano World Tour Award 2018, Supported by SNF

Three graduates of architectural departments from the National Technical University of Athens, the University of Madrid and the University of Padua, winners of the Renzo Piano World Tour Award 2018, took part in an educational 40-day journey around the world of architectural design and construction.
As part of the journey, the three graduates visited 226 landmark architectural sites, on three continents (Europe, America and Oceania), 28 of which were created by Renzo Piano and the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW). The journey was completed on July 25th, 2018, at the RPBW offices in Genoa.
The three winners of the Renzo Piano World Tour Award, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Foundation and the Fundación Botín, were selected through a competition for the best thesis focusing on the theme: “Art of Construction: the importance of structural details.”
