Born in 1954, George Hadjimichalis is one of the most important Greek artists of his generation. For those who admire his work and those who have yet to experience it alike, an exhibition opening on September 21 at the Benaki Museum (Piraeus 138) offers an ideal opportunity to get to know or delve deeper into his rich artistic oeuvre.
The exhibition, entitled George Hadjimichalis. Works from 1966 to 2022, will unfold in two stages: the first from late September to early November and the second from late November to mid-January. In the transition between the parts, visitors will also have the rare opportunity to get a firsthand behind-the-scenes look at how an exhibition is set up and taken down.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is proud to support the exhibition as a Lead Donor as part of its Employee Donation Matching Program.
