Working in Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and Greece, they are championing educational access for migrants, sustainable mushroom farming, and inclusive soccer play.

Meet the people recognized as emerging leaders in the 2022 Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Prizes, designed to recognize people whose work is original, courageous, and has the potential to improve life for people across national boundaries. They join the three winners in the established leaders category announced last week. The Prizes and leadership initiatives at the Tällberg Foundation are supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

“Though we’re referring to these prizewinners as ‘emerging leaders,’ their accomplishments and vision already speak for themselves,” said SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos. “We’re immensely grateful for the fresh perspectives, energy, and optimism they are bringing to key issues, and we can’t wait to see what they will achieve in making the world a better place as they continue to grow in their leadership.”

Anyone can make an online nomination for the Prize, and finalists were selected from 2,400 nominees hailing from 132 countries. Winners in the emerging leaders category, selected by jury, are awarded $10,000 and are connected with mentorship opportunities through the Tällberg Foundation’s global network.
