Andreas Dracopoulos, the SNF’s Co-President, talks to UPenn’s Pillars Magazine

Andreas Dracopoulos, Co-President of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, was interviewed by Pillars magazine, a publication of the University of Pennsylvania, which examines the impact of leadership philanthropy on their institution.

The article describes the impact of Andreas Dracopoulos and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s contributions to the Penn World Scholars program, which provides financial aid for outstanding international students at the university.

In the interview, Mr. Dracopoulos states, “I am contributing to the next generation of shapers and movers, and giving them the freedom to innovate, experiment, and explore their ideas. Education is simply the most transformative gift a person and a community can receive.”

In 2009, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation collaborated with the University of Pennsylvania to create the SNF Endowed World Scholar Fund, a part of the Penn World Scholars Program, to provide financial aid to international undergraduate students from Africa.
