This grant supports the restoration and display of fifteen casts of the Parthenon frieze, most likely created in the mid to late 19th century by Domenico Brucciani from molds then held in the British Museum, that preserve intricate details in the carving since lost to weathering. The restoration of these important casts is essential to their preservation, and their exhibition will make them accessible to a wider public.
