Laboratory of Geotechnical Mechanics - Equipment
For a challenge grant to purchase state-of-the-art laboratory equipment for soil testing. 

The equipment upgrades the facilities available to the department’s students, and improves the department’s research capabilities.

The Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Thessaly was founded in 1993. It has sixty students each academic year. The Laboratory of Geotechnical Mechanics is one of the Department’s seven laboratories. Undergraduate students of the Department of Civil Engineering are taught various courses in the Laboratory while postgraduate and research students (PhD candidates) use the facilities to conduct research.
