To support the expansion of IWitness, an education application that empowers teachers and students to better understand 20th century history while building 21st century digital and media literacy skills. Online testimonies allow students to explore and interact with content on the Holocaust and other genocides.
The USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education was established by Steven Spielberg in 1994, to record the testimonies of survivors and other eyewitnesses of the Holocaust on videotape. Today the Institute reaches educators, students, researchers, and scholars on every continent, and supports efforts to collect testimony from the survivors and witnesses of genocides to educate people about the suffering caused by prejudice, intolerance and bigotry.
