Historical Archive - Program support
For completion of the digitization of the Administration Protocol records.

The Historical Archive of the University of Athens was established in 1991 and is located in the center of Athens in a historic building owned by the University. Its goal is to rescue valuable records dating from 1837, when the University was founded, through 1970. The records are located, placed in order, electronically catalogued, and digitized. The digitization process started in 2000.  All the records can be found in the University’s electronic library “Pergamos.”

Apart from its main purpose, the Historical Archive functions as a research center focusing on Greek and European History.  It also organizes seminars and provides assistance to other universities in the organization of their records.
