The Department of Biological Chemistry at the Athens University Medical School is active in both the educational and research activities of the institution. The Department has 25 MD/PhD faculty members, 15 PhD students and 35 graduate students and research fellows. It is organized in sections comprising molecular carcinogenesis, experimental oncology, cellular and molecular biomechanics, molecular cardiology, and endocrinology.
