Department of Child Psychiatry - Program support
The grant is part of the Mental Health Promotion Program for Children, Adolescents and Young Adults.

For the implementation of the following 4 three-year mental health prevention programs: (a) the promotion of mental health for children and adolescents with chronic physical conditions, (b) the training of parents of children with behavioral disorders aged 2-10 years, (c) the promotion of mental health for families with parents affected by a mental disorder, and (d) the development of an early intervention program in families with infants and toddlers with mental and developmental problems.

The Department of Child Psychiatry of the “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital was established in 1978. The Department comes under the Department of Social Medicine, Psychiatry and Neurology of the University of Athens’ Medical School. Through the years it has developed a rich clinical activity, offering services on the level of outpatient care, counseling to all of the hospital’s clinics and departments, and treating serious cases (inpatient care).
