This grant supports “Prevention of tinnitus persistence after acoustic trauma in adolescents and young adults: a pathophysiologically based approach,” a two-year research project that aims to identify which adolescents and young adults are vulnerable to noise-induced tinnitus and developing long-term tinnitus, and to assess methods of prevention and treatment for tinnitus.
