United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

Program support

The grant supports the survey and reproduction of state and private archival collections and historical records of Greek Jewish communities before, during and after the Holocaust. The archives will be made available to researchers and the public, both electronically and through the Museum in Washington, while a copy will be available at the Greek State Archives.

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) aims to advance and disseminate knowledge about the Holocaust, preserve the memory of the Jewish communities and encourage its visitors to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the Holocaust. Through multifaceted educational programs, lectures, exhibitions, publications, the collection and preservation of historical material and Holocaust artifacts, the Museum enhances the understanding of the Holocaust and all related issues.
